Sutton United boss Steve Morison said he's "not going anywhere" following the London club's relegation from League Two.

The U's were consigned to the National League after their 4-4 draw with MK Dons on the final day of the season.

Morison, 40, joined Sutton as Matt Gray's replacement in January with the club rock bottom of the table.

A late survival push saw them win four games in a row to briefly move out of the relegation zone for the first time since August but ultimately it was too late to avoid the drop.

They went into Saturday's meeting with the Dons knowing they needed to win and Crewe needed to beat Colchester for them to have any chance of staying in the league.

"I couldn't be prouder of all of the players. We've left some points out there since I've come in which is disappointing as I've always felt like we could do it [stay up]," Morison told BBC Radio London.

"We can use today's performance as ammo for next season. I'm not going anywhere, why would I?

"I love coming to work, love this group of players and the people who work here.

"It's a really disappointing day for the club but what I think we've shown is there are some really good players in that dressing room and we've got a good chance of doing something special next year."

Sutton will return to the National League for the first time since 2020 along with Forest Green Rovers, who were relegated on 16 April.
