It was an emotional moment for all involved with the club given their drop down the divisions over recent years.

Now, though, their bounceback has continued having won the National League last season.

And one supporter explained exactly what it mean to him on X, formerly known as Twitter.

He posted: "Literally back to where we were robbed of! @VancityReynolds @RMcElhenney the town are forever in your debt but @thehumphreyker you will always be our true hero for picking us!

"Absolutely gutted my dad can’t be here to witness this after the miles we put in over the years."

Reynolds reposted the message and added: "Neil, your dad knew many years ago what Rob and I - and the rest of the world - are only recently discovering. Wrexham is indeed magic. We are in HIS debt and many thousands of supporters like him."

And fans of various football clubs responded to the heartwarming response from the Hollywood superstar.

"I think this Hollywood bloke actually gets it. Class stuff and well done from a SAFC fan," said one.

"These really are the best of times. Enjoy them."

Another added: "The way you are building while staying in tune with the community is amazing!"

A third replied: "For years Wrexham and indeed North wales have been waiting and hoping that one day dreams do come true that will revive not just the community of Wrexham but across North Wales and its rich culture and today you have made those dreams come true. Da iawn."

Meanwhile, the original poster, along with a heart emoji, then said: "Thank you Ryan! Another emotional rollercoaster tonight but can’t thank you enough."
